Atomic Tom
has played DBMC in 2008 and 2010.

In January 2010 the band signed to Universal Republic Records. The band gained international fame after they performed their single "Take Me Out" on four iPhones on the New York City subway B train. The fictional premise of the video is that the band's instruments have been stolen and that they improvised using their iPhones. The band's first public album, "The Moment," debuted on iTunes, Amazon, and all virtual stores on July 27, 2010. The physical copy became available in stores in November 2010. The band's debut EP, "Anthems For The Disillusioned," was released in 2005 and contained five songs. In 2007 the band released their single "You Always Get What You Want". The single included B-Side "Play That Dirty Girl". In February 2011 the band recorded a music video for the 80's film "Take Me Home Tonight," starring Topher Grace, Anna Faris and Teresa Palmer, which will be released in March 2011.

ALLISON TARTALIA

NEW YORK SINGER-SONGWRITER ALLISON TARTALIA NOMINATED FOR EMMY FOR WORK ON
DOCUMENTARY 5,000 MILES FROM HOME

October 20, 2010 (New York, NY) ? New York singer-songwriter Allison
Tartalia is nominated for an Emmy Award by the Academy of Television Arts
and Sciences in the category of Outstanding Achievement for Individual
Excellence Off Camera: Music Composition/Arrangement for the score of the
documentary film, 5,000 Miles From Home.. She shares the nomination with
JoAnn Robertozzi and Jamie Fillmore. The three composers were also
honored with a Bronze Telly for their work on the documentary earlier this
year.

5,000 Miles From Home is a sensitive and poignant documentary, which
explores the struggles and successes of first generation Italian American
WWII Veterans from Chicago's Little Italy. In addition to the nomination
for the social score, 5,000 Miles from Home was nominated in 4 additional
categories, including Outstanding Achievement for Documentary Programs ?
Historic Significance and Outstanding Achievement for Individual
Excellence Off Camera in the areas of Writing, Editing and Audio. The film
was made possible by the Italian American Veterans Museum and Library in Chicago, IL.

A classically trained pianist and multi-instrumentalist, Allison draws
upon diverse influences to create her unique brand of orchestral chamber
pop. Her debut CD, Ready, was enthusiastically greeted by critics, and
resulted in several regional tours. Recently, Allison was named a
finalist in the Solarfest Songwriter Showcase, and the CT Folk Festival
and Songwriter?s Beat song contests, and she has made numerous festival
appearances this summer and fall throughout the Northeast and Midwest. In
2007, Allison?s first foray into musical theatre as composer and arranger,
1918: A House Divided, book and lyrics by Barbara Kahn, was produced by
the Pulitzer Prize-winning Theater for the New City, and an original cast
recording was released in 2008. She is currently working on another
collaboration with Kahn, set to debut at Theater for the New City in March 2011.

Her latest project, the Sweet and Vicious EP, was produced by Grammy Award
winner Michael Leonhart (Steely Dan, Lenny Kravitz, Yoko Ono) and will be released early in 2011.

DBMC 2010 some Quotes from Artists and Panelists

“... I was most impressed with the vibe, which was so laid back and chill, i met so many people who were genuinely interested in what everyone else was doing, truly networking and not just pushing an agenda. It was a really well-run, well-oiled machine and it allowed the artist to really kick back and enjoy and take advantage of all there was to offer. So thanks again for the opportunity, and for the great time. i'm going to go clean the sand out of my pocket...”

- Isaac J Gordon (Monster Entertainment LLC)

“...We had a complete blast at Dewey. Thanks again for having us.
Dewey Beach is likely one of the most artist friendly music conferences of which I have had the pleasure of being a part. I appreciate that the focus of this conference is on networking. While I came as a panelist to share any knowledge or information I have that might help indie artists, it was great to actually have the time to sit down and speak with some of them about their hopes, goals, and dreams. It just so happens that we are in the market for a couple of bands, and we saw some great ones at Dewey Beach. I highly recommend Dewey Beach to artists who are looking to further their careers.Thank YOU, Jim. Dewey Beach was an AWESOME experience. We can’t wait to come back next year!..”
- Shirley Kennedy (SJK Public Relations, LLC)

“...We can always count on DBMC being a kick-ass time. We hooked up with Dynasty Electric and are in the process of swapping gigs with them. DBMC rocks - I'd recommend it to any indie band interested in developing their career while having fun at the same time. Thanks again!...”
- Shawn (VulGarrity)

“We are hooking up with Paula Savastano (your publishing session speaker) and maybe working on some licensing together! We are going to be produced by Jim Ebert (recording panel and mentoring) for a recording scheduled to start in mid-Nov!...Thanks Dewey, and thanks Vikki!”
- Metropolis America

Thanks for including me in this year's festival. I had a great time and thought the festival was a great success. I saw a lot of great bands and got a lot out of the panels that I was able to attend. Thank you again and I will see you next year!..”
- Phil Schuster (Section 101)

“..Thanks again for a great conference and for having me on a panel. The whole weekend was awesome. I've already booked one of the bands, Darlingside, at The Grape Room...”
- Anthony Caroto (The Grape Room)

“VICKI! Thank you sooooo so much for having us. I have traveled across country on tour with major acts, have played many high profile festival, have done network television with major budgets and have never seen nor experienced such respect, top shelve free food and drink and down right it's all for the artist love EVER. You are truly a gem and someone I would travel the world for just to be a part of any ventures you conduct or a part of because I know it will be successful just as Dewey was for my band and I.”

Colourslide needs your Help!

Dewey Beach Alumni and fans,

Please help out Colourslide.

On Sunday, March 21st the band was traveling back to Florida from the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX. They had a terrific week performing and seeing other favorite artists. Just outside of New Orleans when they were approaching a bridge, their trailer was clipped from behind by a hit and run driver. The accident was horrible. The van and all the gear was totaled. The guardrail is the only thing that saved them from plummeting into the water. No one should have survived.

As you can see, Colourslide is a band worth saving...Spread the word and please donate today!

Flying Machines

The band is proud to announce some very special news coming down the pipe for February!

T-Mobile and Fender Musical Instruments have joined together and created an amazing new phone specifically geared towards musicians and music lovers alike! There are great APPS for this phone that can do everything from helping tune your guitar to recording a demo of a new song and sending it to your email as an MP3.

Thanks to Fender Musical Instruments and our producer/manager, Spencer, we have been selected by T-Mobile and Fender to be featured in their ads for the phone in Rolling Stone (yes, that magazine). We are taking part in a three issue campaign to bring awareness of this new Fender Phone to the music loving public, following their first announcement featuring Eric Clapton. After an amazing photo shoot at The Bell House in Park Slope, Brooklyn we flew to Seattle for a live, in-studio Rolling Stone performance which will debut and be featured on www.rollingstone.com.

We could need feel more honored or humbled by this opportunity! We ended up playing three songs from our Debut Record and a brand new song which we are so proud of, (titled: Citizens of the World) which we wrote for a world music initiative in connection with Equus World (more details to follow).

In any case, thanks to all of you, the fans who make every venture we become involved with worth while. We love writing and performing (leaving for a US club tour in March and playing SXSW—- and we can’t wait to share more news as things happen in 2010!
